Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy, part of our Terms of Service, describes what information we collect, use, and share.
By using any of Outpost's services, or by dealing with a client using Outpost's services, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy and, as applicable, the Outpost Terms of Service. Outpost Locator (also referred to as "Outpost Store Locator", "Outpost", "we", "us", or "our") is a store locator software service operated by Hexabu Labs, a limited company registered in Kenya.
Visitors to client websites
What information is collected?
Outpost provides store locator mapping services to our clients (retailers and merchants). Clients embed our application on their websites, which interacts with our servers to display store locator content and collect information about how the store locator is being used on behalf of our clients.
When you visit a webpage that has embedded our application, our server logs may collect information typically furnished by your browser when visiting a webpage, including the time of visit; page(s) accessed; your browser's "user agent" (containing browser type, operating system details, and device category); IP address; and information about cookies installed on your particular device.
When you interact with a store locator, our service may additionally collect details on behalf of our client about the queries you perform in the store locator, including the search query, address, postal code, or location being queried, and the search filters selected. Additionally, if the client has enabled this functionality and you give explicit consent to your browser's request to share location data, we may receive the GPS coordinates of your computer or mobile device solely to display stores near your current location.
How do we use this information?
We process the information collected in order to provide our store locator services (e.g. to calculate distances, show you relevant retail locations, display store contact information, and provide driving directions) and to allow our clients to understand details about search volume and popular search locations on their store locator. Additionally, we may use aggregate operational data collected (e.g. request volume, query latency, and error rates) to monitor, optimize, and improve our services.
When do we share this information with third parties?
We provide details to our clients (the merchant displaying the store locator) about what searches are being performed in their store locator so that they can understand customer demand patterns, identify distribution gaps, and improve retail inventory.
We work with a variety of third parties and service providers to help provide you with our services and we may share personal information with them to support these efforts. In the course of providing our services, technical or location information (such as your search address or coordinates) may be transmitted to geocoding and map tile providers (such as Google Maps or Mapbox), subject to their respective privacy policies.
We may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights and safety.
